Stéphane Landry, the 19-year-old Moncton hemophiliac who contracted AIDS as a result of tainted blood, died Wednesday, May 29, 1996, at his Highfield Street home after a long battle with the disease. It was the second time tragedy visited the Landry residence. Serge Landry, Stephane's twin brother and also a hemophiliac, died three years ago of AIDS also contracted through tainted blood.

Stéphane Landry Born in Moncton, he was the son of Normand and Anne-Marie (LeBlanc) Landry. He attended Christ-Roi Roman Catholic Church.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Lola Landry of Pré-d'en-Haut; maternal grand-parents, John and Doreen LeBlanc of Dieppe; two sisters, Micheline of Moncton and Denise at home; a brother, Etienne at home. He was predeceased by his brother, Serge, in 1993.

Resting at Chartersville Funeral Home with the Funeral mass to be held at Ste-Thérèse Roman Catholic Church, Dieppe, on Saturday, June 1, 1996 at 11 a.m. Interment in Pré-d'en-Haut.
